Ensure that when you study a chapter for the first time, solve every problem in the exercise section. This way, you will understand the type of questions associated with the chapter.
  2. Divide all the chapters according to the types of problems – Mostly, the problems in the maths books are repetitive. Once you complete all the sums, divide the chapter and club the same kind of problems into individual groups. This habit will help you during your revision as you can go through the types of questions and solve all the sums in each category.
  3. Write down all the formulas – With complex concepts and a vast syllabus, it can be difficult to refer to chapters to remember formulas every time. Hence, make a separate notebook and write down all the mathematical formulas included in your syllabus. This process will help you memorize them better and revise them properly before your examination.
  4. Take the help of the internet – If you get stuck on any problem, put it out on the internet, and you will get a solution for it, almost immediately. Loney for Trigonometry and Co-ordinates and M.L. Aggarwal for Algebra.
  6. Don’t involve yourself in Rote Learning – Memorising or rote learning is an absolute no-no when it comes to mathematics. You will need to make use of your analytical and logical skills while solving maths. Your reasoning skills will come to use when you try to improve at maths. Hence, while understanding concepts, be curious about the problems you are solving. At the beginning level, try ensuring that your base is strong enough. Only then move to the advanced concepts such as binomial theorems and hyperbolas.
  7. Solve previous years’ question papers – Solving question papers is imperative after completing the syllabus. Time yourself and solve these papers to identify your weaknesses and see where you are lagging. This process will help you focus on your weaknesses and work on them. When you solve the papers, you will also learn time management. You can either buy books like 15 Sample Question Papers Mathematics Class 11th CBSE or solve sample papers online.
  8. Do not keep maths for the last moment – Mathematics is one subject you cannot cover up the night before the exam. In Class 11, the concepts get more complex, and it requires proper understanding and practice. You cannot sit and understand calculus the night before the exam at any cost.
