This is by far the most popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. Built-in 1591 by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah, the structure is about 56 metres in height. It is called “Charminar” as it is bordered by 4 towers on each corner of its area. On the top floor of the Charminar lies a mosque while in total the structure has about 45 praying spaces.
